旅美台灣魔術師孫平 分享防疫生活Sun Ping, a Taiwanese magician in the United States, shares his life on epidemic prevention

Covid 19 疫情爆發的當下因為我人剛好在美國，

當時在台灣的記者朋友，希望我能拍一些超市的影片讓大家知道美國的現況，

在前往拍攝的過程中，我意外發現當時美國人基本上完全不戴口罩。

所以我突發其想，想用魔術「變出口罩」加深大家的印象，

同時宣導防疫記得戴上口罩的觀念。

分享一下我構思客製化魔術的過程：
(一)先確立目的:我想用「魔術變出口罩」的方式，加深大家的印象，同時宣導防疫記得戴上口罩。

(二)整理思緒直接用現有的魔術道具變出口罩最簡單，但感覺太普通、沒有挑戰性，於是在腦袋中搜索所有學過的魔術，思索有哪些元素可以結合口罩變魔術?因為要前往Walmart拍攝，讓我想到採買物資需要帶「錢」，所以決定將口罩結合「鈔票」來表演。

(三)構思整個架構起、承、轉、合要如何安排?如何開始?又要如何結束?並把時間控制在10秒左右。

(四)找尋適合素材因為口罩的樣式、大小、厚度、材質，都會影響手法的操作，所以必須逐一測試。

(五)練習手法找到合適的口罩後，進一步改良我之前學過的變鈔票手法，開始練習自創的鈔票變口罩魔術。

(六)設計台詞講稿要設計開場白，還有每個動作都搭配一段話，才能精準傳達我想宣導的理念。

(七)把整個流程重頭到尾順個幾遍因為是新想出來的魔術流程，動作、台詞、還有面對鏡頭的角度，都需要經過反覆的練習與調整。

(八)前往拍攝只拍了三次就完成了，其中一次還是因為有路人入鏡所以重拍。看起來很輕鬆就能做到，是因為前置作業花了很多心思準備。

原本只是簡單拍攝幾分鐘超市貨架狀況就可以交差，（因為最後會不會採用播出還不一定）

結果我特別用了幾個小時的時間準備，（把它當成是一個客製化專案處理）

或許就是因為結合時事（口罩），然後用魔術的方式呈現（有趣），

所以最後影片不但被採用，還有了國語版和台語版的獨家報導，以及線上文字新聞版本。

看起來短短10秒鐘的效果，卻是我花了好幾個小時的時間構思準備，才得以呈現出來。

過去有些客製化魔術的成形要好幾天、甚至好幾週的時間去構思、排練、製作道具⋯，

這還不包括和客戶溝通、開會、討論的時間。

未來有機會再跟大家分享不同客製化魔術的案例。

 Share my process of conceiving custom magic:

(1) Establish the purpose first: I want to use the method of "magic making a mask" to deepen everyone's impression, and at the same time promote epidemic prevention and remember to wear a mask.

(2) Organizing your thoughts and directly using the existing magic props to make a mask is the easiest, but it feels too ordinary and unchallenging, so I searched all the learned magic in my head, and thought about what elements can be combined with the mask to make magic? Because I have to go to The Walmart filming reminded me that I need to bring "money" to buy supplies, so I decided to combine masks with "banknotes" to perform.

(3) How to arrange the start, succession, transformation and integration of the whole structure? How to start? How to end? And control the time to about 10 seconds.

(4) Find suitable materials Because the style, size, thickness and material of the masks will affect the operation of the technique, it must be tested one by one.

(5) Practice techniques After finding a suitable mask, I further improved the money-changing technique I had learned before, and began to practice the magic of making banknotes into masks by myself.

(6) Designing lines The speech should be designed with opening remarks, and each action should be matched with a paragraph, in order to accurately convey the concept I want to promote.

(7) Repeat the whole process from the beginning to the end several times. Because it is a new magic process, the movements, lines, and the angle of facing the camera need to be repeatedly practiced and adjusted.

(8) It took only three shots to complete the shooting, and one of them was retaken because a passerby entered the camera. It seems to be easy to do, because the pre-work has taken a lot of thought and preparation.

Originally, it was just a matter of filming a few minutes of supermarket shelf conditions, and it was possible to communicate with each other, (because it is uncertain whether it will be broadcast in the end)

As a result, I spent a few hours preparing, (treating it as a custom project)

Maybe it's because of combining current events (masks) and presenting them in a magical way (interesting),

So in the end, the film was not only adopted, but also had exclusive reports in the Mandarin and Taiwanese versions, as well as the online text news version.

What seemed like a short 10-second effect took me hours to conceive and prepare for it to come out.

In the past, some custom magics took days or even weeks to conceive, rehearse, and make props...

This does not include the time spent communicating, meeting, and discussing with clients.

In the future, I will have the opportunity to share with you the cases of different customized magic.
